What, doesn't everyone do that? The screen lights up, and casts a gentle glow. Sure, the battery will wear down eventually, so we can't do that all day, but it won't get super hot, like the lighter. And anyway, it's not like the phone is getting a signal.
I have an app on my phone which makes the screen solid bright white, so it can be used just as a fFlash-light. Nerd alert!!
That said, I vote for saying "Let there be light".....and then for a sudden shock there really *does* end up being light with a dawning "Oh shit" expression on her face.....
