...driven me to drink.

I needed a large dose of hard alchohol after seeing the most recent episode 'Dr. Linus'.

You know, I always surprise myself; I talk up how 'evil' I am, and I don't expect many people to really believe me,. But at the end of the day there is a huge, dominant part of me, that really, honestly is repulsed and confused by the very concept of 'good' or 'altruism'.

Well, Lost seems to be saying there is Black/White binary good and evil (no gradient) which frustrates me, because a character I like... well, I feel like he's been pussified. :/

Pff. I used to believe in binary good and evil, until I realised how fucked up my own thoughts and desires can be O.o; Now I no longer believe that I'm 'good' or that anyone truly is. Not completely anyway.

Sometimes I wonder if I drink too much. Then I remember how good it feels to be drunk and I don't care :D

I dont belive that anybody is "good" and I feel compelled to laugh at naive people who like to think that "mankind is basically good".

I do, however, belive in the virtue of "goodness", and that being "good" is something people should strive towards.

I can see 'goodness' as being an ideal (one of many possible ideals), rather than an innate trait. I'm not sure that it's necessary for everyone to strive towards that particular end - some people strive for goodness while others choose a different ideal such as success or perfection. But yeah. Something like that.
