So yeah, I got a reply to my last post (the big long one) last night that I didn't expect. Some random Wizard-anon basically said they had reason to believe I was a demon, which is, nice I guess? And then went on to tell me how magic is possible in this world, and make a few book recommendations. I just may be checking them out.

This is something that bothers me. I've been studying/attempting magic, telekinesis etc, for quite some time, but I have yet to find any real, hard evidence of the supernatural in my life. I believe its there; it just doesn' seem to want to touch me with a ten foot pole.

Is there anyone on my flist who's had a real experience with anything magical or paranormal? I know many of us are quite mystical and spritual, but at the end of the day, beleif is not the same as proof, more's the pity.

Deb, Fyraka, and I were part of a magic circle with a few of my now ex friends. We cast a spell and though I could feel the energy from my kin, as could the main caster, the spell didn't work. I have reason to believe the kin may have sabotaged it. ^^;

Magic + drama = delusional. The more drama, the more the delusion. Those who boast the loudest know the least. Most of the magicians who present themselves to you (especially in fandom) are trying to boost their own egos and/or get laid.

This is not to say that magic is not real but its very very easy to blind yourself to it with comfortable fantasies. Clear your mind, clear your expectations and clear your eyes and you may start to notice things.

I normally do, but usually not this many in one month. From simple things as predicting a radio song, to pulling out a patients file I didn't need at work and having them walk in about a minute later. 0_0

Yes and no?

I can magic up parking spaces, I read the tarot and some other stuff. It's more of something I feel, but actually being able to DO something... well, it's temperamental. It's THERE, it's just like swimming through jello at times to reach.

Sadly, no proof of anything because even the parking thing could be coincidence.

Do you mean Care Bears fandom? If so, I'd have to agree. For starters, farfoos is there. I've known him for nine years, and while I like him better than most people who've run into him, he's really creepy.

I really really really want to believe in magic. (I think I do anyway.) I also think anything magical I've experienced probably wasn't really magic, but more the work of observation and openmindedness. But I'm still a believer!

This planet is odd in the sense that while there's a damn lot of strange shit here it's also horribly dead in terms of juju. I can't say about the magic department, but I've seen more than my fair share of paranormal crap.
