(no subject)

Partner woke up early (4:30 am) from a nightmare this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. They can basically never get back to sleep after a nightmare, which is fine. It was Luffy and Hancock and there was a minor tiff between them because like, yeah it was 4:30 am and she wasn't actually saying she had a nightmare.

But that got sorted out and we switched it up at the front. (Me-Niji and Rebecca). Only I lost all sense of time and accidentally sent her to work an hour early 😂😂😂 Good thing they only work an hour away, she turned around and came right back home and we chilled for an hour.

Making bacon-cheese-potato soup for dinner tonight, maybe with broccoli, maybe without. Gonna have the bread from last night with it.

The garlic bread we made last night was okay but could have been better. It got too crispy.

Partner's dad's birthday is coming up so we have to make room in the schedule for that. Also, partner is considering taking a full week off of vacation days for their birthday, which would be awesome.

Didn't nap, got in a 15 minute walk instead which was refreshing and gave me inspiration for the writing I ended up doing. Likewise the partner writing set up is on hold because we might just be doing a movies and video games night.

The soup I'm making (potato, bacon, cheese) has come out fantastic and I'm annoyed I can't just sit here and slop it into my mouth until partner gets home 😂😂😂 It's gonna be great with the leftover bread though.

Honestly, coming back to dreamwidth is relaxing. I don't have to worry about people "judging" my posts. Most of the time on DW, like on LJ at least in terms of personal blogs, if someone doesn't like what you have to say, they'll ignore you.

Unlike on tumblr where if I post about the soup I'm making someone will invariably call me out for not being inclusive of people who hate soup. XD
